The Heart of My World

My mother was the heart of my world. She was more than a parent—she was my teacher, my guide, and my greatest source of strength. Her love was unconditional, her wisdom timeless, and her presence a constant reminder of what it means to live with kindness and grace.
I will miss her laughter that filled our home, the warmth of her embrace, and the way she always knew how to comfort me in moments of doubt. She gave me courage when I felt weak and reminded me of my worth when I forgot.
Though she is no longer here with me, her spirit lives on in every lesson she taught, every sacrifice she made, and every memory we shared. I carry her love in my heart, and it will continue to guide me through life.
Mom, I love you more than words can ever capture. I will miss you every day, but I will honor you by living the values you instilled in me—with compassion, resilience, and love.

(Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return)
It is with a heavy heart, but complete acceptance of the will of Allah, that I write this testimony for my golden mother. She was not only my mother but also my guide, and source of inspiration.
My Mum lived a life of devotion, compassion, and selfless love. She was known for her firm commitment to the path of Allah. She taught me the importance of patience (sabr), generosity, and relying on Allah’s wisdom. She taught me right from wrong and showed me how to be dedicated and sympathetic toward people who crossed my path. Every Friday, Mum would call and pray for me, my husband and children; she would end the call with “Maa Salam” (with peace)
She was indeed a mother to behold!
Together with Dad, Mum raised me and my siblings firmly, and with the fear of God. This year 2025 marks exactly 10 Years ago that Dad died; by Allah’s grace, Mum stayed back, and continued with the same firm legacy of upbringing while making sure to inculcate values and morals that holds us till this day.
Mum’s legacy of love, kindness,;and firm belief and trust in Allah will live on through all of us, and those whose lives she touched.
Her gentle smile that lights up the room will be cherished forever.
Up until her last moment, Mum continued to do good deeds and maintain her commitments Masha’Allah!
I humbly request all who come across this page to join me in making dua (prayers) to Allah (SWT) to envelop my parents (Zainab Abiola Adeyemo) and (Muftau Ayinde Adeyemo) in His infinite mercy, make their graves a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and grant their soul comfort and tranquility.
Aamin!
Mummy-Mummy, as I fondly called Mum, is deeply missed, will be deeply missed, but I find consolation in knowing that she has gone to rest, and now in Allah’s boundless mercy.
Forever in my heart and prayers!
Your loving daughter,

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY IRREPLACEABLE DEAREST MOTHER

*MY DEAREST MOTHER*
With a heart full of love and gratitude, I thank you for everything you were to me. You were my unwavering support, my safe place, my sanctuary in a world that could sometimes feel unkind. In every season of my life, you stood behind me with unconditional encouragement, believing in me even when I struggled to believe in myself.
Together with my dad—who left us ten years ago—you were an incredible parent. Side by side, you built a home rooted in love, strength, and guidance. The values you both taught me, through your example and sacrifices, continue to shape the person I am today, and I carry them with deep pride and gratitude.
Your love was complete and without limits. You accepted me fully—my strengths, my flaws, my mistakes—and wrapped them all in your gentle embrace. That boundless love shaped who I am today. Through your words, your sacrifices, and the quiet ways you cared, you taught me compassion, resilience, and grace.
I will miss your voice, your laughter, and the comfort of knowing you were always there. Yet even in your absence, your presence remains. You live on in the lessons you taught, the values you instilled, and the love you poured so freely into my life.
You are, and always will be, a permanent part of my heart. I love you more than anything in this world, and I will remember you forever and never stop loving you.
May your soul rest in perfect peace. May you be reunited with my dad, embraced by eternal light, comfort, and love. Until we meet again, rest peacefully, Mom. 🙏🏽
It’s me ur dearest child.

My Numero Uno

A tribute to my numero uno, vessel, doctor, teacher, lawyer, confidant, supporter and prayer warrior; my MOTHER – Alhaja Zainab Adeyemo.
You were the vessel through which I was brought to life. I thank you for not allowing me to drop from your back and for your love and care all through the years.
You instilled the love of reading in me right from a tender age when my friends and I used to turn the children section at the Central Library where you used to work then, our second school.
You also instilled in me the principle of entrepreneurship right from a young age. You were a woman of great strength that was willing to engage in any business in order to support her husband in providing for her children so far it is halal.
Mum, I love you with all my heart and pray that Allah accept your return, forgive your shortcomings and bless you in the hereafter. May He crown all your love, effort, hardwork and ibaadah with Al-Jannah firdaus which is the ultimate success.
Rest on, Mum. You were and will always be the number one for me!
